How does the length of an infrared wave compare with the length of a wave of visible light?
An infrared wave is shorter than visible light.
A visible light wave is shorter than an infrared wave.
Some colors of visible light are longer than infrared and some are shorter.
An infrared wave is longer than visible light
Visible light varies from Blue at 350nm to Red at 700nm
Red has longer (twice) wavelength and hence a lower frequency,
Infrared are electromagnetic waves that are below red in the frequency band.
By definition then all infrared has a longer wavelength than visible light.
